The Construction Cost Data Engineering Intern will support the development of the preconstruction department by creating a cost resource within Medxcel to extract our own historical data for more accurate baseline budgets. This intern will work closely with IT and Pre-construction to establish ground-work for this database based upon completed projects (< 18-months).  Included in this initiative is the standardization of forward tracking of cost to align with data environment.

  • Download of target projects to be used for data collection
  • Tutorial summary on how to create report
  • On-going test reports to identify database working conditions 
  • Communication to IT conditions within data environment including suggestions or corrections
  • Extract cost of completed new builds (>$5million, <18-months)
  • Test output report of benchmark data
  • Extract cost of renovation projects (<$5 million, <18-months)
  • Working summary on how to create report



  • Participation in any Bachelor program with a focus on analytics
  • Must have completed Sophomore or Junior year of college
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Office
  • A genuine interest in healthcare and facilities management
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Availability for summer work beginning in mid-May 2020 and continuing through mid-August 2020
