The Contract Compliance Coordinator will support the General Counsel with administrative and legal responsibilities for Medxcel throughout the assigned working location of Central Office - Indianapolis, IN. This position primarily will support the in-house legal team in reviewing and drafting agreements, facilitating and coordinating the processing of contract activities through completion; and creating and maintaining form contracts, including database management and enhancements. This position will work collaboratively with in-house attorneys and administrative staff, and will interface with internal clients regularly as a key point of contact within the Legal Department.

Responsibilities

Contract & Lease Review & Management 

  • Conduct first level review of contracts, leases, and other legal documents 
  • Perform lease abstraction to identify critical factsdata, and other lease management information 
  • Review and organize client and third-party vendor contracts 
  • Upload contracts into contract management software 
  • Maintain contract templates and contract approval forms 

Research & Data Management 

  • Conduct preliminary legal research including statutory, regulatory, and international issues 
  • Investigate facts and analyze legislation, statutory and case law, judicial decisions, legal opinions and rulings, ordinances, and other documents to determine legal relevancy 
  • Collect and analyze data needed for legal or administrative matters 
  • Assist in developing and formalizing legal processes 
  • Draft, proofread, and edit a variety of documents for correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, formatting and content 

Compliance 

  • Maintain, prepare, and file registrations and legal documents with federal and state agencies and courts 
  • Docket filing dates 

Qualifications

Education: 

 

  • Associate’s Degree in business related field 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 

 

License/Certification: 

 

  • Paralegal certificate preferred

 

Experience: 

 

  • 1+ years legal experience 
  • 3+ years legal experience strongly desired
