The Senior Sourcing Analyst performs general and targeted spend analysis and makes recommendations on behalf of Medxcel Facilities Management regarding sourcing strategies to maximize cost savings.  This position will work from the Medxcel Facilities Management Central Office - Indianapolis, IN.  The Senior Analyst provides advanced analytical support to the Supply Chain function by developing meaningful dashboards and metrics for operational use and assisting with new project development under minimal supervision. This position plays a key role in the standardization of data integrity and the use of this data to drive Supply Chain and the company to the next level.  The Senior Sourcing Analyst also assists the Supply Chain Director with national contracts/agreements and acts as a resource to the Sourcing and Contracting and Procurement Managers.




  • Use strong quantitative and analytic abilities to perform general spend analysis on demand for parts and services and targeted spend analysis on categories, business units, equipment type, equipment make/model, and or suppliers
  • Develop custom analysis tools in a variety of programming languages and applications such as Visual Basic, MS Access, and MS Excel
  • Develop and maintain Monthly Dashboards that are accurate and meaningful
  • Determine financial and operational impact of supplier and/or product standardization
  • Make recommendations regarding transactional sourcing strategies to maximize cost savings
  • Prepare reports to support recommended strategies and program development
  • Develop and implement Service Level Agreement (SLA’s) to track, report and monitor vendor performance
  • Query, extract and process data to help make decisions by ensuring accuracy from multiple sources of information
  • Gather and analyze procurement specialists metrics in order to report results to be used in business plan and strategy development
  • Proactively participate in and make recommendations for system and dashboard refinements within the Supply Chain function


Sourcing Programs & Strategies:

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership to develop category and/or supplier specific sourcing strategies to support contractual and non-contractual relationships
  • Based on results of spend analysis, drive cost savings and supplier consolidation by supporting appropriate RFx processes
  • Prepare reports showing effectiveness of strategies and programs
  • Provide recommendations on best supply chain strategy
  • Provide leadership support in any ERP system change or upgrade to ensure data accuracy

Executive Presentation and Collaboration:

  • Work with the Supply Chain Director and Operational leadership to develop reporting which support the usage of national vendor partners
  • Develop presentations to be shared with Executive leadership on monthly metrics and strategic initiatives
  • Work collectively with Finance to insure our budgeting processes and savings initiatives are tracked to the bottom line

National Contracts & Agreements:

  • Assist the Director with national contracts/agreements as necessary; analyze Medxcel needs (parts, supplies, training, labor, etc.), and perform financial/logistical analysis of vendor partner offerings and capabilities
  • Provide recommendations on opportunities to develop comprehensive national contracts/agreements



  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience preferred
  • Healthcare facilities or healthcare experience beneficial
  • Expert at complex data analysis (qualitative and quantitative) and financial modeling with experience in working with data warehousing and SQL
  • Experience in Supply Chain practices and RFx analysis
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP systems and advanced skills with Excel and Access required
  • Knowledge of medical and clinical engineering terminology preferred
  • Working knowledge of hospital environment and operations preferred
  • Working knowledge of financial practices such as budgeting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable 
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with an acute attention to detail
  • Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of management and employees within the company
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills which include strong presentation skills
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and can work with an appreciable amount of latitude
