    The National Director plans, directs and coordinates operations for the Emergency Management, Environment of Care and Safety programs to ensure goals, objectives and metrics are met across regions. This position will be assigned to the working location of Medxcel Central Office - Indianapolis, IN. This role provides support for the Regional Directors to ensure the development and implementation of systems, procedures and processes for standardizing operations. The National Director reports directly to the National Vice President (VP) of Emergency Management, EC and Safety.


      Operational Support Management

    • Works closely with National VP to set and prioritize operational direction, review progress, and address training and development needs
    • Coordinates operational direction for Regional Directors
    • Develops and coordinates strategic goals and performance/process improvement plans to ensure objectives are aligned with the Medxcel Facilities Management strategic goals
    • Monitors and analyzes operations to check effectiveness and develops strategy for improving if necessary
    • Identifies best practice and works to implement and standardize across regions
    • Builds effective working relationships with Facilities, Compliance, Marketing and other key areas within Medxcel Facilities Management
    • Facilitates coordination and communication between support functions
    • Works effectively with Medxcel Facilities Management executives and other leaders to drive business innovation, service strategies, revenue growth, and continuous improvement processes at the national level to ensure service excellence
    • Liaisons with Ascension Health Risk and Clinical Excellence to align and support strategic direction and meet customer expectations
    • Provides support for corporate and regional strategic initiatives as assigned


    Coaching and Development

    • Identifies training and development opportunities
    • Coordinates development and implementation of educational programs and materials to address training and development opportunities
    • Works with Compliance Team to ensure Regional Directors and Safety Officers are trained and ready for regulatory inspections
    • Builds talent capabilities to support initiatives and future objectives
    • Effectively influences and collaborates with stakeholders of all levels (frontline to C-Suite) within ministry/client organizations


     Policy and Procedure Support

    • Provides education and training to the field on Medxcel Facilities Management programs, policies and procedures
    • Assists with maintaining the policy and procedure repository and revision process
    • Works with Compliance Team to maintain regulatory readiness documentation, ensuring operating policies and procedures are compliant with regulatory standards



    Education and Experience


    • Master’s degree in healthcare management, or related field preferred.  Will consider Bachelor’s degree with adequate career experience
    • Minimum 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience specifically related to Emergency management, Environment of Care or Safety
    • Must have or obtain within 1 year of hire at least one of the following Certifications:
      • Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP), or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), or Certified Hospital Safety Professional (CHSP)
    • Experience in developing policies, procedures, and processes required
    • Experience leading and developing teams required
