    The Training Specialist II, will provide instruction to the associates of Medxcel located in the Central Office - Indianapolis, IN and remote field locations. This position conducts face-to-face, facilitated asynchronous online, synchronous webinar training sessions covering technical skills on new and existing technologies, limited soft skills training as it relates to facilities operations in the healthcare environment, and monitors analytics related to training effectiveness. The Training Specialist II conducts Kirkpatrick Levels I, II and III evaluation, monitors related metrics, and conducts any warranted remediation. This individual makes recommendations and executes alternative training plans and contributes to the continuous improvement efforts of the training team. This individual acts as Level II support for internal and external questions related to business and trained business systems. The Training Specialist II will develop and maintain written training materials and user manuals and ensure up-to-date training resources. This individual facilitates the execution of technical training plans through managing classroom learning environments (face-to-face and online), schedules, written materials and learning outcomes.

    Responsibilities

    Training and Implementation:

    • Develop and deliver organized and properly-paced training for optimal learning in face-to-face, blended and distance learning environments
    • Manage rosters and attendance records
    • Create training schedules for new site implementations and work collaboratively with implementation project managers if nonstandard schedules are needed
    • Identify at-risk learners and provide additional training support in the classroom (or virtual classroom) as required
    • Create and administer learning assessments to measure learning performance
    • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions and assure trainees can demonstrate proficiency
    • Design and develop training to include, among others: objectives, outlines, text, QRCs, user manuals, instructor guides, hands-on activities, and assessments  
    • Evaluate course content of each training program routinely to determine need for updates/enhancements for software, learning plan, or process changes; make recommendations when applicable
    • Actively pursue new technologies, training methodologies, and technical content that may be added to enhance training programs
    • Work with appropriate subject matter experts (SMEs) in the development of training plans
    • Communicate with training leadership on a regular basis, raising critical issues confronting the technical training program and recommend mitigating action plans
    • Continuously evaluate personal training performance as a method of finding opportunities to improve consistency, timeliness, quality, and to reduce cost of delivering training
    • Participate in learning and development professional organizations and/or attend learning and development conferences and training opportunities
    • As a Level III measure of training effectiveness, monitor learner performance in technical systems post-training and provide remediation services to learners and reports to site leadership
    • Mentor and guide professionals in the field to establish and achieve goals and objectives regarding technology and technical training
    • Provide direction and guidance on training decisions at the facility site level
    • Implement policies and procedures that improve the quality and timeliness of deliverables and decisions
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Travel Required: up to 70% (overnight required)

    Project Management:

    • Manage multiple projects or training plans at the same time
    • Drive results for all projects currently in scope
    • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with initiative work plans and established targets
    • Plan and organize work so that goals are realized
    • Contribute ideas and actions toward the continuous improvement of team’s processes

    Internal Support:

    • Troubleshoot problems and resolve issues with internal customers
    • Provide subject matter expertise to other departments

     

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
    • Master’s degree preferred

    Experience:

    • 5-7 years’ experience in technical training facilitation required
    • 1-3 years’ experience teaching online preferred

    • 1-3 years’ experience in Facilities Management and/or healthcare preferred

    • 1-2 years’ experience working with Visio, learning management systems, and eLearning rapid development tools preferred
