    The Talent Acquisition Specialist will collaborate with hiring managers to facilitate the hiring process and guide candidates through the process of joining a dynamic, growing company at the signed working location of the Medxcel Central Office in Indianapolis, IN. This position will be called on to develop and execute creative and unique talent acquisition strategies that will position Medxcel as an employer of choice in key markets. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is accountable for leading efforts in sourcing, selecting, and hiring, while providing consultation and recommendations based on business knowledge and strategies. An effective approach should combine solid people judgment and the ability to measure candidates against established job requirements.

    Responsibilities

    Sourcing and Recruiting:

    •  Partner with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring manager to refine the profile of the position and ideal candidate
    • Manage all recruitment activity within the territory assigned including building and executing a market strategy that will effectively address the specific needs of the geography in which the specialist will recruit
    • In conjunction with the TA sourcer, develop recruiting strategies that will maximize the exposure of Medxcel’s open positions to the broadest audience of qualified applicants
    • Monitor sourcing plan; communicate with multiple networking contacts, third party vendors, applicants, and references
    • Execute the full recruitment cycle using behavioral and competency-based interviewing techniques and methodologies
    • Evaluate candidates based on position profile; determine if candidates are appropriate for current or future openings
    • Coordinate weekly meetings with hiring manager to discuss needs
    • Partner with key stakeholders to define selection team, interview parameters, and competency requirements for interviewers; participate in interviews and facilitate debriefing sessions as appropriate
    • Serve as a consultant and business advocate to hiring managers during selection process to make hiring recommendations based on interviews, assessment data, and candidate qualifications
    • Using the Medxcel compensation guidelines, internal equity analysis, and cost of labor information, determine negotiation limits and components of an employment offer; partner with HR Business Partners and Compensation Analyst as necessary
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to extend employment offers
    • Utilize and keep Applicant Tracking System updated in real time (enter candidate notes, etc.) with a focus on data integrity, accuracy, and adherence to the process

    Talent Acquisition Administrative & Special Projects:

    1. Oversee administrative employment requirements (coordinate references, offer letter, datasheet, etc.)
    2. Create candidate offer letters containing required information
    3. Route New Associate Information Sheet and oversee the completion and submittal of all necessary paperwork for onboarding 
    4. Develop and cultivate relationships with identified technical institutes, universities, and the military to build partnerships and Medxcel brand
    5. Participate in and manage special projects which may include College Recruiting Program, Intern Program, Associate Referral Program (SOAR), etc. 
    6. Attend weekly HR and Talent Acquisition meetings as scheduled
    7. Drive continuous improvement in all efforts

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • • Skilled in using an automated applicant tracking system (ATS) and internet resume sourcing
    • • Eye for talent and the ability to exercise quick, solid people judgment and accurate decision making
    • • Knowledge and experience with behavioral and competency based interviewing techniques and methodologies
    • • Problem solving — identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather and analyze information skillfully 
    • • Planning/organizing — prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and develop realistic action plans
    • • Critical thinking skills – ability to gather, synthesize, analyze information to objectively draw conclusions, make reasonable decisions, and provide solutions and communicate the situation, action, and result clearly and concisely 
    • • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in scope or direction and be flexible to adopting changes quickly 
    • • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws related to hiring
    • • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, including technology, tools, and processes
    • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • • Ability to work comfortably and effectively with other team members and higher level management
    • • Strong administrative skills with acute attention to detail
    • • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) 

    Qualifications

    Education:

                  Minimum required:

                          •   Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field

                  Preferred:
                          •   Bachelor’s degree

    Experience:
                 Minimum Required:

                          •   5+ years of experience recruiting for a variety of positions in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
                          •   Experience in high-volume recruiting
                          •   Experience recruiting for all levels, including technical and non-technical positions
                  Preferred:
                          •   Background in both a corporate recruiting role and recruiting for an agency
